When it comes to these young kids having Facebook, I’m not going to lie, it does bother me, and more so that they lie about it in order to get a Facebook. The pictures and statuses they post are ridiculous; not only do they show and prove their real age, but they also show how they totally act and pose like they are at the age they won't be for another decade! The fact that these young kids are trying to rapidly mature and at least pretend as if they are mature is sickening. Parents need to play more of a role as superiors and not friends. They should monitor what their children are doing on the internet. This is a reason that leads to why society is so corrupt.
<==That is sooo creeeepy! You knowww he's on fb!
<=== I mean come on! This is ridiculous!
<=== Soon it'll be this!! All of those images may be dramatic, but clearly this is what people are thinking since I Googled all of them!
On the other hand, when there are fictional profiles for dogs and characters, it does not bother me. People are just trying to be interesting and spice things up. I find it to be rather humorous. I always joke about making my dog a Facebook because she is considered my sister. Also, since I have recently blogged about pet cruelty, creating a Facebook for pets is neat because it shows how we consider them in our families. The fictional characters don’t appeal to me, but they don’t bother me either.
As for Facebook preventing who creates their pages, I think they have as much information as they need. What else can they do? Have you email a picture of your id and birth certificate? Ha, absolutely not! It is not the site’s responsibility to monitor; it is parents and guardians of these immature kids. It is not the internet’s problem; it is the people using it.
