Poem Number 4!

To My Brother: Who Needs Advice From His Little Sister

Don’t push
Don’t shove
Resist
the fight

Chin up
Stand down
Control
your might

Love few
Hate none
Cease
attack

Be calm
Accept
It’s this
you lack

Online Marketing

As each year passes the internet becomes more popular and more of service to people all around the world, and that is fascinating to me. George Wiedemann, chairman of the Direct Marketing Association Board, calls it the single most important development for marketers since the U.S. Postal Service…it is the ultimate take out menu and the ultimate focus group. Online marketing can help companies grow in several ways: increase their profit, communicate more with their customers, and provide customers with a no hassle opportunity to purchase their products.

Marketers use the internet to gather data for marketing planning. The internet has become an integral piece of the marketing mix, spawning new products and serving as both a digital distribution channel and an electronic storefront. The net is also a strong medium for communication with target audiences--it allows two-way communication. The internet is a medium for communication and electronic commerce, which is ultimately a great opportunity for marketers.

Poem Number 3!

I like blogging some of my poetry. Gives people an opportunity to read them!

Fog

I am here, I am there, I am everywhere. Like it

consumers the air, swallowing up lighthouses

Devouring mountaintops grazed with goats

that are hidden within me

Can’t see, light’s reflection, wicked glare

Layers upon layers of cloud

In the center, it spins, comes to a halt

No longer in it, for I now have become it

Spreading, beautiful now unnatural. Contagious,

yet resistible. Swarming everywhere,

yet nowhere. Life, melting away

I am up, I am down, I am all around

Technology that I can’t live without

If there is one form of technology, or even an object period that I cannot live without, as ridiculous as it sounds, it’s my cell phone. I use my cell phone for everything—texting, making phone calls, checking Facebook, checking my daily quote site, checking my horoscope, playing Angry Birds or Be Jeweled, using the calculator or taking pictures, my cell phone is my necessity
I am constantly texting or looking things up on the internet.

When I have 50% battery or less, I lose my mind. I panic thinking my phone will die and someone will call me for something and I won’t be there for them because my phone will be dead; that is why whenever I am in my room, my cell is plugged into the charger! Pathetic, I already know. Three of my roommates agree with me but one of my roommates can go hours and hours, even days, without her phone. She’s crazy! But yet she is also lucky! I love my cell phone and I would be lost without it. That is all.

NCC Wireless!

I know it is not a good thing to talk bad about topics related to your school, but I cannot stand NCC’s wireless Internet! With all of the money we pay to go here you think they would have high speed wireless internet wherever you are on campus. I cannot hook up to Wireless in my room, and either can any of my four roommates. It is extremely annoying to have to sit at my desk and type and research things when really I would much rather sit on my bed or the couch. Wireless should be an easy accessible form of NCC technology.

I don’t know if it is North Central that needs to step their game up, or ITS, but either way it needs to be recognized that NCC’s wireless internet sucks, especially when I have to do all different forms of research for finals and my back gets sore from sitting at a desk chair and just wants to pop a squat on the couch. Get yourself together ITS.  I get better wireless internet in Starbucks after buying a four dollar coffee than I do at a place where I pay thousands of dollars to be at!

Poem Numer Two!

Mama’s Boy
He comes
He sits
She calls
He goes

What’s old
What’s new
She has
to know

He eats
He sleeps
She tells
him how

I want
His love
She won’t
allow

He’s smart
He’s dumb
She likes
it all

I stay
and wish
for me,
he’d fall

Grow up
Be strong
It’s time
you see

The past
was her
But now,
It’s me.
